Austin at his pre school graduation, May 25th. Cat in the Hat was there and the theme was

Dr. Seuss, so Becky got both boys the book "Oh, the Places You'll Go!"
I hesitate blogging due to the fact I spend time downloading pictures, just to have the page "time out" or whatever it does when it DOESN'T work! I'll try again, posting one at a time!

The sentences all of a sudden started double spacing and, again, the connection seems "unstable", so I think this will be it! We enjoyed the evening at our good neighbors, Pam & Frank, with good food and fellowship. I love their house and took the grand tour to see all the updates since we last stopped by. Very neat house with loads of "extras". We sat out back on the patio and just enjoyed the evening.
Austin turned five on Wed., May 26th. He is just so sweet and we love him dearly. We are enjoying watching he and Matthew play t-ball. Matthew is doing so well and seems very happy. He is a very kind child with a lot of love. He is very good to Maggie. So sweet:)

Church friends!

Life group friend, Caroline, with Maggie, Tricia and Colby!

It isn't a good idea to give gum right before a picture!
Give me your best smile Maggie:)
The boys in their Sunday best! So sweet...love them dearly.

Sunday, Mother's Day

Clyde and I went to Southland which was a hard decision for me. He was fine with going to my sister's church, knowing mom would be there. We love Sonlight Fellowship, my brother in law is a wonderful pastor. I just hated missing our home church and seeing friends. I wish we would have made plans to meet mom for lunch, but we didn't before hand. So she ate Wendy's for Mother's Day! Both my sister and I invited her back to our house for a "big" meal for supper, but she didn't want to get back out.
Neither of the kids were able to attend church with us, and I was OK with that. There have been times I might have a little "pity party" but I try to remember they are with people they love and are happy. Anytime I believe they are content and with people that love them, I am more than just OK. Becky was in London and having a wonderful time on Jessie's farm.
Red Lobster was better than normal to me. Clyde went to spend time with his family at his moms and I went to the grocery store. I put a pork loin in the oven and after it cooked awhile, took it out, stuffed it and wrapped it up in foil. Put it on the grill for 40 min. or so and it was fork tender:) Becky brought a great dessert that we ate around the bonfire. The boys played ball for awhile and had a good practice with grounders. Good day.

Mother's Day Weekend

Saturday started at Shillitos watching the boys play ball. This was our second win so we had a great game. The boys both got hits, got to run in a couple of times, and even play the last inning on shortstop & pitchers mound. They all are improving each week.

After the ice storm, our two BIG pine trees at the property line were damaged. Our good neighbor and Clyde decided to have them taken down. All that was left was a big round patch of dirt with mostly leftover woodchips, limbs, and lots of roots to remove or work around. This mounted up to a lot of work for Clyde. For several weekends, he has been raking, shoveling, and dumping the depris.
We didn't need another flower bed to weed, feed & work on (well, I would have loved it, but my back would not have) so he bought & planted three double knockout rose bushes. I love the result. They are still small with lots of growing to do. It was a great Mother's Day gift to me! Thanks sweetie:)

Weekend & Beginning of Week

A great year for all flowering trees & bushes!
Maggie will be spending lots of hours at the ballpark....I guess she better learn to hit!

Puccini's pizza! Yummy!

We enjoyed eating pizza after the game!

Getting a small "player's drink" after the game is the best:)

Happy 64th Anniversary mom & dad (May 1st)
We waited to plan a party until a couple of weeks before the day. Daddy has had some great days since Dec. when Hospice came in. These last few days he appears to be weakening. I went over to play Rook today, after work, before the boys game (busy day) and mom mentioned that dad said last night he doesn't think it will be long. He has felt this before, so maybe he's wrong. I think he is just tired. Today, he was quiet. When I said goodbye, he said "love you baby and I appreciate you". He's a sweet person and I admire him so much.
